Studio Art Program Area

The Undergraduate major in the Visual Studies Art Program at UB has a concept oriented approach that highlights experimentation in both media and ideas. An art student can either specialize in an area of concentration, or pursue a general studio approach. The entire Art program has an emphasis on developing individual ideas, processed through technical skills in a variety of areas, both traditional: painting, drawing, printmaking and sculpture, or emerging: digital art, digital and film photography, communication design, video, sound, installation, site specific work and performance art. Student artists are encouraged to execute their ideas in many media formats.
