Visual Studies graduate coursesAHI 524 - Baroque Art Concentrates on developments in Central and Northern Italy, from approximately 1580 to 1650. Special attention given to formulation of a baroque style in Rome during these years. The role of Caravaggio, the Carracci and Bernini, for example, will be explored with an eye to investigating the patronage and principal ideas that their art represented. Type: Seminar |
